Smocking in the Hoop

Smocking is not just created by hand anymore. With an embroidery machine, pleated fabric and this machine embroidery collection, you can achieve a similar look to traditional hand smocking in less time! The collection includes 20 designs (11 motifs and 14 geometric backgrounds). The motifs include cute “picture-smocked” designs for children’s garments like bears, butterflies, candy canes, little critters, pumpkins, crosses and more. The geometric backgrounds are offered in two widths (7″ and 9″). The designs are to be embroidered on pleated fabric, but can be done on flat fabric if desired.

Motif Designs: 11 designs; all require a 5×7-inch hoop
Geometric Designs: 14 designs; six designs require a 5×7-inch hoop and eight designs require a 6×9-inch hoop
