Getting Started

In order to log in, you need to visit this link and enter:

  1. Your email address
  2. Your password (Forgot your password? Reset it here.)

Once you’re logged in to your Sewing Collection account, look for the menu bar on the top the page. Click on Sewing Classes to access the Sewing Collection Education site. You will be redirected to your Education dashboard. From here you will see a list of courses you have purchased; Click the pink “Continue” button and then the teal “Continue Learning” button to access each class.

There are two forms of navigation in each course:

  1. Every course has a menu bar situated to the left of the content area. Here, you can navigate to parts of the course and view your progress.
  2. Previous and Next buttons: Each course has “< Previous” and “Next >” buttons situated across the top pf the page. These buttons will allow you to move forward and backward through the course pages.

If you already have an account on The Sewing Collection site:
Our new online education site shares a single log in with your account on The Sewing Collection site. That means you will log in the same way you do to access your Embroidery Club and/or Doll Club account(s). Once you log in, look for the menu bar across the top the page. Click on Sewing Classes to access the Sewing Collection Education site. You will be redirected to your Education dashboard. From here you will see a list of courses you have purchased. *If you do not see your Education dashboard, please select the “Sign In” button to complete the login process.

If you do not have an account on The Sewing Collection site:
You must reset your password to complete your account setup for the new site. Please visit this link to reset it. You’ll enter your email address, and an email will be sent to you with a link to enter a password of your choice. Once your password is reset, please sign into your account and select the Education link. Next you will need to select the “Sign In” button to complete your new account setup. Congratulations, your account setup is complete and the courses you’ve purchased will be available instantly in your Education dashboard.

Yes! Course purchases made on the old site have been restored on the *new site (see below), with the exception of a few courses that were not owned by Martha Pullen Company.

Manage My Account

From your account dashboard (once you’re signed in), look for the menu bar on the left-hand side of the page. Click on Update Password and you’ll be taken to an account management page. Enter the new email address that you would like associated with your account, then click Save Changes. You will then use this new email address for future log ins.

There is a link on all sign-in forms to help you recover your password. Just choose My Account in the top right corner of the page, click the Reset or Forgot Password? button, and follow the on-screen instructions. (Click here for a direct link to the password reset page.) You will then receive an email with further instructions to reset your password.

Course Questions

To access the discussion board, click on “Discuss” from the menu featured on the left-hand side of your course page (look right below the course title and progress bar). To attach images of your work to your discussion board posts, click on “img” and then “add image” to upload your chosen photo file.

The Resources section, located at the end of your course menu, is a folder where all available course materials can be downloaded and kept for future use.

When you click on a file from the Resources section, it will open a preview of the file. To download a pattern or file, click the paper clip icon that appears in the top-right corner of your screen (OR the paper clip icon listed by the course resource title on the left-hand course menu), then click the document title that next appears. Following these steps will save the pattern or file to your computer.

Please refer to the PLEASE READ: How to Download Resources page, located at the beginning of each course’s Resources section, for additional tips on downloading files.

If you are having technical issues or any general site issues, please contact our education team via this contact form. If you have questions about the course curriculum, you can post a comment in the course Discussion Board — or you can use the contact form if you would prefer to send your question privately.

Online Licensing Assignments

When an assignment has been graded by our instructors, you will receive both an email notification and a message in your inbox on your account page to view your grade.

For those of you who completed online licensing courses on our old website: your assignments will not show as “complete” on our new website, but don’t worry! We have records of everyone who completed the courses. The grades just will not be imported on the new site. You do not need to resubmit any assignments.

Payments

We use PayPal, which accepts Mastercard, Discover, Visa and American Express.

Supported Browsers, Devices & Technology

Our school was built to work on iPads, tablets, iPhones and smartphones. Layouts, scrolling or displays may vary depending on the device you have. However, you will need a computer to download the course resource files on any course that includes downloadable patterns/files.

Yes, an internet connection is required to log in and view your online course. All courses offer a range of multimedia features, and we recommend that you have a good broadband or network connection for the optimal experience.

Accessing Your Course(s)

There is no limit to the number of courses that can be taken at any given time.

Your online courses are available around the clock, which means that you can sign in at any time, day or night, and take your course.

Audio and Video

We recommend when having problems with audio to check your internet connection, reset your internet connection if necessary, clear your cache, and update your browser or try another browser. Additionally, check your speaker/headphone connection and your audio system preferences.
